Client Services Manager

REPORTS TO.

Vice President, Director of Deposit Services

OBJECTIVE.

The Client Services Manager will provide a superior level of service to our clients and promote the Platinum Bank service culture through coaching and staff motivation. This position supervises and administers the daily operations of Platinum Bank’s client services functions, including hospitality, community engagement, staffing, operations, product sales, safety, and security in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and strategic objectives. The manager will perform as a working manager responsible for ensuring the day-to-day banking needs of our clients are met. The manager will oversee the effectiveness of internal client sales carried out by the client services team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Manage and perform (as needed) the day to day operational functions of Platinum Banks branch service delivery model (Oakdale and Plymouth) including: hospitality, new account opening, online banking, balancing, overseeing teller functions / client service duties, overseeing the care of the physical environments, assist with marketing and assisting with client transactions across the spectrum.
  • Provide leadership to client services team, including creating, maintaining, and communicating department related processes and procedures. The incumbent will lead by example through excellent customer service, building relationships with clients, identifying cross sell opportunities and communicating with other departments to find satisfactory problem resolution as needed.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the client services team(s). This will include hiring and training of client services staff and maintaining staff schedules to provide adequate coverage at all times.
  • Maintain good public relations with clients and the community. From time to time, participate in community events.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist departments throughout the bank with special projects and functions.
  • Ensure that all security procedures are strictly followed, branches are operationally sound, and satisfactory audits are achieved.
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE.

  • High School degree or GED required,
  • 4 year college degree or 5+ years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Bank Management: 3 years

  • The ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently.
  • Competence with computers, telephones, drive up equipment, ATM machines, printers and other office equipment.
  • Satisfactory skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Jack Henry applications desirable.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

  • The working environment is typical for an office and does not require exposure to difficult or hazardous conditions.
  • Job will be based in Oakdale, MN with requirement to routinely travel to Platinum Banks office in Plymouth, MN.
