Our StoryLike many new ventures, Platinum Bank was born from a shared vision. David Rom, Marc Cove and Mark Luhmann met as seasoned banking professionals. Over many years, they built a relationship based on their shared ambition, energy and passion for banking. As their careers matured, their friendship and mutual interests grew even stronger. Soon the three agreed to create their own destiny and leverage their experiences by establishing a new kind of community bank, one that reflected their shared values, mutual respect and entrepreneurial vision. They agreed that the name of this new venture should reflect a steadfast commitment to service, as well as a sense of strength, stability and endurance. Their choice: Platinum Bank. After raising capital, organizing the business and meeting regulatory requirements, Platinum Bank was approved on December 29, 2006, the only new bank approved in the state of Minnesota that year.
